September

Spent a large part of the year undergoing personal difficultues that impededed me from making art. Only got back into painting during September.

Continued optimizing my digital workflow and hardware ergonomics, which lead to noticable improvements in hand-eye coordination while using my non-display Huion Inspiroy tablet.

I forced myself to stay loose while painting. Still worked with minimal layers, but I tried out a new schematic of:

• an initial sketch that becomes the underpainting
• a color/value/shape blocking paint layer
• an overlay filter layer for glazing
• a texture overlay on top of the whole piece
